My name is Dan Anderson.
I'm currently working full time, but am always looking for freelance opportunities
My specialties are: photorealistic rendering , project management, product development and design strategy.

EDUCATION:
I have, in my possesion, a BFA in Art, with an Industrial Design concentration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
I acquired this pricey certificate in 2003.

DESIGN SKILLS:
-Product development: from small consulting firms through fortune 100 companies.
-3D computer modeling + rendering: Rhino + Solidworks are a winning combination.
-Illustration and finished rendering: cartooning, storyboards,contextual sketching, and even presentation boards.

COMPUTER:
Rhino3D 4 + Auxpecker + vRay,
Adobe Photoshop CS3 or better,
Adobe Illustrator CS3 or better,
SolidWorks 2008 + Photoworks,
Adobe Dreamweaver 8, CS3
Adobe AfterEffects CS3

TECHNICAL:
I often find myself teaching and training others;
working out bugs in both Mac and PC hardware and software systems;
reading up on new injection molding production and assembly methods;
messing with CSS, HTML, PHP, and other scripts for the web and basic interaction concepts.

WORK:
Presently, I work at 3M Company as a full-time Contractor.
As part of an embedded design group within Corporate research, I supply design and product development services to the rest of the corporation.
I've been here since May of 2007.

I also run my own Industrial Design Freelance business.
I do quick-turn projects and provide specialty services for small firms and inventors, as long as they are not posing any conflicts of interest with my full-time gig.
I've been a hired gun since February 2006.

In 2004, I started my real-world immersion at Leisue Design Inc. I left the New Ventures group at that small consultancy in 2006.
Leisue Design Inc is now WhiteBoard Product Solutions.

I have experience working in a small pre-print, layout and web design shop.
Other noteworthy gigs include: phtographer's assistant, IT support, Jr Industrial Designer and Injection Molding/Assembly Operator.

INVOLVEMENT:
I like to be engaged in life outside of work. I am involved with/interested in:
